yXLM and other yield generating tokens issued by Ultra Stellar abstract the process of lending money to CeFi and DeFi platforms. By working with multiple trusted services, we are able to access higher APY rates available on the market and reduce fees. Your yXLM tokens are in your crypto wallet and in your custody, so you can sell, send or redeem them anytime.
APY rates
APY rates are flexible, and can change depending on the market conditions. You can see current rates for yXLM on this website, but we also publish APY rates on blockchain, so you can further verify on explorer. We always aim to provide better APY rates and thus can switch between different trusted service providers to ensure best yields.
Interest amounts are distributed daily according to your yXLM balances at the time of snapshot. If you transfer yXLM to a different address, this new address will start receiving rewards instead of your account.
Getting started with yXLM
You’ll need a Stellar wallet to store yXLM and receive daily rewards. Any Stellar wallet would work as long as it allows you to add trustlines. We recommend LOBSTR for mobile devices, StellarX for desktop. It’s always a good idea to use a hardware wallet such as Ledger or Trezor, especially if you plan to store significant amounts.
Most centralized exchanges (e.g. Coinbase or Binance) do not allow you to add Stellar tokens yet, so you should get a non-custodial wallet such as LOBSTR. Use the button below to add a trustline to yXLM or search for yXLM or ultrastellar.com in the asset list.
Converting between yXLM and XLM
Ultra Stellar provides anchoring service that enables 1:1 conversion between yXLM and XLM. Follow the instructions on this website, the whole process only takes a few minutes.
Several Stellar products (LOBSTR, StellarX, StellarTerm) support interaction with anchors, so look out for Deposit and Withdraw buttons next to yXLM asset. This way you can make the conversion without leaving your wallet.
Alternatively, you can trade yXLM on SDEX as any other asset. Keep in mind that the price of yXLM on the Stellar DEX is a market price, which may not always be equal to 1 XLM.
Get interest payouts
Once you have yXLM in your wallet, you are all set. Within 24 hours you will get an interest reward, and you’ll be receiving those daily. Interest payout APY rate is stated in the transaction memo, so you can always check the current APY rates.
Received yXLM interest can be converted into XLM or other tokens. If your yXLM position is changed, your next interest payouts will be adjusted accordingly.
